When Chef Paul Smith agreed to officially become part of the New River Brands team a few weeks ago, we were beyond excited.
Why wouldn’t we be?
Not only is Paul a proud son of the Mountain State, he is literally getting ready to make a trip to Chicago in a few weeks to attend the James Beard Awards as one of five finalists for the title of Best Chef: Southeast US.

So, yeah, Paul joining our team is pretty exciting news for us and our brands.
One of the first projects that Paul has taken on has been a collaboration with Blue Smoke Salsa’s founder Robin Hildebrand to create a Gourmet Series based off of her original recipes.
We had intended to slowly reveal the three new flavors over the course of the next few weeks as we approach their official release date, but, well, we just suck at keeping a secret.
